Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNO): The Food Safety Department (FDA), Drug and Food Control Organization, conducted a surprise milk quality drive in Srinagar city on Saturday.
As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the operation, carried out by Food Safety Officer (FSO) Zone 1,Zone II and Zone IV aimed to inspect the quality of loose milk supplied in the city.
28 legal samples of loose milk collected for analysis, it said, adding that the drive focused on ensuring compliance with food safety standards- Intensified inspections to continue in Srinagar city in coming days.
“The Food Safety Department is committed to safeguarding public health. Today's drive demonstrates our resolve to ensure milk quality in Srinagar city. We will continue to monitor and take stringent action against violators. The department is committed to protect consumers from adulterated or contaminated milk and promote a safe food environment,” the statement reads—(KNO)
